I went to the beach and got stuck. To be fair, the guy that pulled me out almost got stuck too. I hit a very soft patch of sand. I’m considering a winch, but a high-lift farm jack will probably do.
Oh and I put on dual tailpipes, way better than the dumped setup, because I’m old.

1) Looks like you could have aired down more, may have helped.
2) I love this car.

Did you air down at all? Doesn’t really look like it and it probably would have helped prevent your predicament

Do you have a limited slip diff already?

1. Get a Hi-Lift first whether or not you get a winch, it’s a very versatile tool besides being able to function as a makeshift winch(like in this situation picking your vehicle up out of the sand a bit and shoveling some in under the wheels to de-bog you).
2. Do I see Washington plates?? I live in Washington! Where in Washington are you?

If your planning on winching with a hilift... Set aside some time now.
Get some maxxsa or treds or maxtrax and you’ll have it covered

Kinja’d, got my comments mixed up.

Nah. I should have if I was getting crazy, but this beach is considered a “public road” and is heavily patrolled. All I was trying to do was turn around, got off the firm stuff an oops. I didn’t even have time to turn the car off before a bunch of guys showed up to help.

Yeah I didn’t air down at all. Didn’t have time, tow dude was there within seconds.

The only thing with a winch is that’s a lot of extra weight up front, and honestly this thing sees more pavement than anything. I’ve considering mounting one in the trunk with the fairlead rollers behind the license plate.
Yup I live in Renton but went to Ocean Shores for the weekend.

These beaches are pretty firm sand, I’ve driven my impreza out there a few times and never had any issues. But subarus are like gods gift to traction.

Oh things were peachy keen on the harder packed stuff. When I got off the beaten path is when things got fun. Like I said, that guys truck almost got swallowed too. I wasn’t out there to rip it up, just turning around. But yeah AWD would have been nice.

The jack is a good idea. Maybe also a compressor so you can air down and back up. These are also useful.

Another thought on the hi-lift jack... where are you going to lift from? That mustang has big plastic bumpers all around. What are your jack points?

All more reasons to just use a hi-lift. Also maybe invest in some max-trax/similar?
Cool! I’m in Bellingham right now but most likely moving to Everett or Snohomish in the next month or so

Tube bumpers front / rear are in the the works. The bull bar did OK as a pull point but could use some beefing up.

I dig the Martini livery, nice compliment to the Gulf livery on the other car. What’s the next project going to get? John Player, Marlboro?

did you remember to air down?...... maybe invest in some sweet paddle tires?......
